Star of the Week

In Hannah's Kindergarten class, her teacher tries to have each child be the "Star of the Week" near their birthday. Hannah was lucky enough to the Star of the Week this week since her birthday is during spring break next week. She made a cute poster all about her - with pictures favorite things, things she doesn't like, what she wants to be when she grows up, etc. She was so excited to have Luke, Wesley and me come into her class. Then she got up in front of the whole class and told them all about her. She was timid about it, but actually got up and talked in front of the whole class. Afterward, her teacher said, "If you had told me a couple months ago that Hannah would get up and do that all by herself, I wouldn't have believed you." I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished this year.

Today we had a little mini birthday party for Hannah in our office because we will be gone to Grandma's house on her actual birthday. Carrie and Misty were so kind to get her birthday presents. Luke couldn't figure out why I got a cake since my darling daughter can't eat any, but I told him it was the whole tradition of it all. Notice in the picture, Luke had to cover Wesley's mouth so he wouldn't blow out the candles first.

A "Quiet Time" has been implemented at our home on Sunday afternoons after church. The kids are supposed to be in their beds. They do not have to go to sleep but they have to be in their beds reading, playing leapsters, anything quiet. Wesley snuck into Hannah's bed and well, I went in to find the kids like this last Sunday. It was too cute.

I took a picture of my dream home this last weekend & wanted to post it just for fun. I haven't been inside of it, but I LOVE the outside. It is so cute. Someday, maybe???

Jenn! 1. I can't believe how big Hannah is (is she allergic to cake/gluten?). 2. I LOVE that house. 3. LOVE the quiet time idea. Fabulous!

OK, your kids are growing up way to fast and they are way too darn cute. I really miss seeing them on a daily basis. I am liking your dream home. I love that you posted it. :)

From the look of the picture...was Wes trying to help Hannah blow out the candles? :)
