Luke and I celebrated our Anniversary this past weekend... 8 years! I can hardly believe that it's been that long. 8 years seems like a LONG time when you just think about it, like twice as long as high school or college. It hasn't seemed that long though, it has been a wonderful 8 years.
I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life. He is such a hard working, loving, caring, considerate husband and a wonderful father to our darling children.
My parents watched the kids for us so we were able to spend an entire day and a half with just each other. We went to the temple and did some family names. Then we went to eat lunch at Iggy's and watched a movie "Knowing" (must add that this is the first movie I have seen in the theater in probably 2 years). It wasn't a great movie, but it was nice to be together & kidless. We then went up and visited my sister Celeste who just had a baby girl Ashlyn one month ago. We hadn't seen her yet, so that was fun to sit and hold a new baby for over an hour.
We stayed in a hotel that just opened a couple weeks ago. Our room was HUGE. We had two big-screen TV's, fireplace, and an oversized tub with jets. It was awesome. In the morning we had an awesome breakfast and then took a dip in the pool (I know you aren't supposed to swim after eating, but hey-it's our anniversary!). Our fun was slightly cut short by about a thousand children who came running in, screaming & splashing, all right about 5 minutes after we got in. Lucky, huh?
Happy Anniversary, Babe! I can't wait to see what the next 8 years holds in store for us!
