4th of July

Our 4th of July is special at our house, not only for the traditional day to celebrate our nation, but it is also Luke & his dad's birthdays. Every year we go to the lake and go waterskiing (even his dad who is now a Senior Citizen!) The kids had a blast! Our family, Clay & Brittney, Mike & Michelle, and Suzi as well as Paige & Colter and Fred & Annie were all there. All of the kids had quite a fun time playing together. We had a great time waterskiing, air chairing, wakeboarding, tubing & jetskiing (Fred & Annie's).

For his birthday, Luke got a new non-stretch ski rope for the boat since our other one got eaten by the boat prop. He also got a watch and a new basketball. We had so much fun, I wasn't able to make the cake until the day after his birthday. Better late than never, I guess.

After the boating trip, we went to Rob & Rachel's house for a barbecue. They actually had steaks, but I don't like steak (I know, I'm crazy!), so I just had a hot dog. It was fun to get together. Clay & Brittney were there, too. After dark, because they live on a hill, we were able to see quite the fireworks show from all the people who live in Freedom & Etna and were lighting off fireworks. What a show!
