Hannah's first day of school was also Wesley's 3rd birthday. He was so excited to finally be 3! I was afraid he would be totally bummed on his birthday with Hannah being gone. But honestly, he didn't even miss a beat. I took him up to Burger King & let him play on the playland for lunch. Of course, we did birthday cake & presents with just our family after dinner. He wanted a motorbike on his cake.
We had our first snow of the year in the first part of October. It was quite a bit of snow & the kids were able to build a huge snowman with Luke's help. They really enjoyed playing in the snow, but it melted within a few days.Darren, Denise & their family & our family took a trip to Manti in October to go motorbiking on the white hills. Darren has a buddy from college that is from Gunnison & he went riding down there probably 10 years ago. Luke was slightly skeptical of how much fun it was going to be, but decided it would be fun to ride his motorbike and spend time time with the family. By the end of the trip, he couldn't quit talking about how much fun the white hills were. We came home and he had to tell all of his buddies about the hills, and go on Google Earth & show them the hills. I am glad that he had such a good time. Denise and I didn't do much, but we did go up to Orem and go shopping one day.

Halloween was a lot of fun. I was in charge of the Halloween party in Hannah's class. We had a few crafts, Halloween bingo game, & creepy crawly snacks. Then afterward, the PTO had a costume parade. It was really cute to see all of the kids in their costumes. I think the kids had a good time.
Carrie that works in our office is totally into Halloween, it's her favorite holiday. So Luke this year actually dressed up as the dude (death) in "Meet Joe Black" - Black dress shirt, black tie, black dress pants, black shoes - I guess you get my point. I was a hippie. Hannah was a "nice" witch with a broom & Wes was a motorbike rider. Wesley was a little confused when on Halloween he didn't have a motorbike to ride like his daddy's. I had to explain that he wasn't big enough for a real motorbike, but when he got a little older, he could probably get one. He actually was okay with that.
We took the kids to the Trick or Trunk at the elementary school. I was really surprised at how many people were there this year. The kids totally loaded up on candy. They had a good time & were exhausted by the time they went to bed. Good thing Halloween fell on a Friday this year.
